The Chicago Red Stars announced an update to their preseason roster, with 28 players now on the team. Updates include a few non-roster invitees and more.
Red Stars Preseason Notes
- Sarah Griffith and Julia Bianchi returned to the team and Taylor Malham joined as a non-roster invitee.
- Alyssa Naeher and Mallory Swanson rejoined the Red Stars from the SheBelieves Cup, where Swanson was named MVP.
- Chelsie Dawber has been recalled from Adelaide United FC on loan to IFK Norrköping of the Swedish Damallsvenskan league.
- The Red Stars open their 2023 NWSL season against San Diego Wave FC on March 25th at Snapdragon Stadium. Their home opener is on April 1st against Houston Dash at SeatGeek Stadium.
