The Washington Spirit signed six first-year players to its active roster, including Lyza Bosselmann, Nicole Douglas, Riley Tanner, Lena Silano, Civana Kuhlmann and Paige Metayer. All six have trained with the club since January and their full contract details can be found below.
Player and Contract Details
Nicole Douglas: Two-year contract
- Douglas was the 2022 Pac-12 Forward of the Year.
- Totaled 60 goals and 21 assists in 89 appearances.
- (2) First Team All-Pac-12 Player.
- Second Team All-American in 2022.
- Third Team All-American in 2021.
Lyza Bosselmann: Two-year contract with option for 2025
- During her four seasons at Gonzaga, Bosselmann appeared in 62 matches and made 182 saves.
- Career GAA of 0.87 and recorded a 0.72 GAA in her senior year.
- West Coast Conference Goalkeeper of the Year.
Riley Tanner: Two-year contract with option for 2025
- Tanner had 45 appearances over two seasons at Alabama, with 8 goals and 11 assists.
- Second Team All-SEC honors.
Lena Silano: Two-year contract with option for 2025
- At Long Beach State, Solano totaled 27 goals and ten assists in 62 matches.
- (2) First Team All-Big West honors.
- Big West Offensive Player of the Year.
Civana Kuhlmann: Two-year contract with option for 2025
- Kuhlmann won two national championships and three Pac-12 titles at Stanford.
Paige Metayer: Three-year contract with option for 2026
- Metayer played over 7,800 minutes and scored nine goals at UCLA.
- She was not drafted in 2023.
