Washington Spirit defender Gabrielle Carle has been selected to join the Canada Women’s National Team ahead of their match against France on April 11.

- Carle signed a two-year contract with the Washington Spirit last December 2022.
- Made her debut in the Canadian national youth program in 2013.
- Before joining the Spirit, Carle played one year of professional women’s soccer with Kristianstads DFF (Sweden).
- She was also a part of the 2021 Florida State University backline that allowed only 13 goals in 25 games.
Washington Spirit’s next home match will be on April 22 against the Houston Dash at 7 p.m. EST.
