Washington Spirit signed 15-year-old Chloe Ricketts to a three-year contract with an option for 2026, making her the youngest contracted NWSL player ever.

- Under NWSL’s new Under-18 Entry Mechanism, Ricketts will have a full roster spot while continuing virtual education throughout the 2023 NWSL season.
- Ricketts competed for AFC Ann Arbor and won the Michigan State Cup and National League Great Lakes Conference as well as advanced to the Elite Clubs National League finals.
