Portland Thorns FC signed Izzy D’Aquila to a 3-year contract through the 2025 NWSL season with an option for 2026, and Lauren Kozal to a 1-year contract through the 2023 NWSL with an option for 2024.

Izzy D’Aquila

D‘Aquila was selected with 12th overall pick in the 2023 NWSL Draft. During her collegiate career at Santa Clara University, she scored 50 goals and 16 assists in 78 games and won a national championship.

Lauren Kozal

Kozal was selected with the 32nd overall pick in the 2023 National Women’s Soccer League Draft. During her collegiate career at Michigan State University, she won Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year twice with a 0.78 save percentage, 227 saves and 1.10 goal-against average in 70 appearances.

Thorns FC will open their 2023 season against Orlando Pride on March 26, with a local broadcast on FOX 12 Plus available for streaming on Paramount+.
