The Washington Spirit signed midfielder Inès Jaurena to a one-year contract. She will join the team for the 2023 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) season.

• Jaurena officially joins the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) after playing professionally in France for the last ten years.
• She previously played for Olympique Lyonnais Féminin of Division 1 Féminin and scored 10 goals across 174 appearances since 2013.
• She has experience with several different French national teams at both youth and senior levels with 56 international appearances across all teams.
• Additional playing experience includes: Grand Paris Seine Ouest 92 Issy, Paris FC and FC Girondins de Bordeaux as well as four seasons at Florida State University.
